Brisbane | Perfect Getaway for a Relaxing Vacation

Walked everywhere on Day 1 π) Day 1: South Bank Parklands Last time I visited Brisbane, it rained heavily β, so I missed the Ferris wheel π‘. This time, I finally got to ride it β making up for the regret! Tickets booked in advance on Groupon: just $33 for two ποΈ (even cheaper for four people). The wheel spins three times β quite fast but fun! Day 2: Gallery of Modern Art β Museum β City Hall β Queensland Performing Arts Centre πΌοΈ Gallery of Modern Art (Dark Fairy Tales Exhibition) π Stanley Place, South Brisbane Tickets available online or on-site. We bought student tickets online same day β $24 each. Note: The exhibition ends April 28! Really interesting β includes short films π½οΈ and even a climbable treehouse π³π ! ποΈ City Hall If you want to visit the clock tower β°, book early (itβs free!). We managed to get 4:30 pm slots β last few spots left! π Queensland Performing Arts Centre Missed Beauty and the Beast in Sydney last year β but caught it in Brisbane! πΆ Amazing musical! We booked just one day ahead and got middle seats in Balcony 2 β great view, no obstructions! Day 3: North Stradbroke Island (Car-Free Relaxation Version) π Took a taxi to the pier β΅οΈ, bought student ferry tickets β $15 per person. 25-minute ferry ride β΄οΈ, departs hourly (we took the 1:55 pm ferry β last return at 6:55 pm). π On the island, took Bus 880 to Point Lookout β student ticket $5. Buses run hourly (we took the 4:10 pm return bus). π¦ At Point Lookout, first got ice cream β highly recommend watermelon flavor! οΏ½ Perfect for cooling down. Then spent time taking photos by the ocean πΈπ. ποΈ If you have time, hit the beach! That day, lots of international students were there in bikinis π and denim shorts β singing along to music on the bus back.
