Brisbane Guide
❤️ Every winter in Australia, humpback whales migrate from Antarctica to warmer waters to breed. July to September is the peak period when whales are most active. In addition to whale watching, Tangalooma Island Resort offers activities such as sandboarding, snorkeling, and dolphin feeding. The surrounding Moreton Island (also known as Dolphin Island) is also worth visiting for its stunning natural scenery and diverse wildlife! 💚 Whale Watching Day Trip ❶ Travel Arrangements Departure Points: Depart from Holt Street Wharf in Brisbane or Marina Mirage in Gold Coast. Trip Duration: Approximately 3-4 hours, including round-trip boat rides and whale watching time. (If you book a Moreton Island day trip, you can choose your return flight in the afternoon after enjoying the island.) Schedule: There are usually two sessions, morning and afternoon. It is recommended to choose the morning session as the sea is calmer and whales are more active. ❷ Onboard Facilities Cabin Seats: Seats are freely selectable, and wheelchairs and strollers are allowed. Observation Deck: Provides a relatively open viewing space, convenient for taking photos and watching. Guided Service: There are broadcasts or guides on board to provide explanations. Catering Service: Offers simple instant noodles, coffee, water, or Western-style simple meals (white people's food). ❸ Moreton Island After having a light meal, buying some snacks, and strolling half a circle on the beach near the pier, it's almost time to return. 💛 Experience: At that time, the boat ticket + hotel package on the official website was already sold out, so we booked the whale watching + Moreton Island day trip on Fliggy. Just in case, we all took motion sickness medicine, but the boat was still very stable during the entire voyage. When watching whales on the deck, the wind was very strong, so be sure to wear warm clothes. For safety reasons, the boat was actually quite far from the whales. You need to zoom in several times to take photos. Although you can see them with the naked eye, they feel quite small. Don't be deceived by the photos. After getting on the island, the wind was still strong. We wandered around, ate something, took some photos, watched the seabirds, and then had to return. If you want to play the island's projects, it is recommended to book the whale watching boat + island hotel directly. The one-day whale watching trip is completely insufficient to enjoy the island. If you want to play on Moreton Island and feed dolphins, it is recommended to travel in summer, otherwise it is too cold. Many projects are not carried out in winter. But overall, it was very worthwhile to take Mina to see real whales! 🚢 Whale Watching Cruise Options: ❶ Tangalooma Island Resort (this is the one we chose); ❷ Other operators: Such as Whale Watching Gold Coast, Sea World Cruises, etc., which provide whale watching experiences of different durations and routes. Warm Tips 🌟: ① The wind is strong at sea, so wear a hat and sunglasses; ② The ultraviolet rays at sea are strong, so apply sunscreen; ③ Do not litter in the sea or feed whales. #TravelWithWhalesEasily #WhaleWatchingCruise #GoldCoastTravel #AustraliaGuide #FamilyTrip #HumpbackWhale #MoretonIsland #BrisbaneWhaleWatching #DolphinIsland #WhaleWatching #NoEarlyRiseTravelDiary
