🌸This Japanese cake shop hidden in the DUMBO area of Brooklyn is like a treasure that’s hard to get your hands on! Firstly, it only opens four days a week, apparently from Tuesday to Friday, and it’s closed on weekends. Secondly, its operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but if you arrive even a little late, all the good stuff will be sold out! 🕒 🌊 The cakes change every day, depending entirely on the boss’s mood. Whether the shop opens or not also depends on the boss’s mood. The small shop is run solely by the boss and his wife. The Japanese boss seems to love running marathons, so whether the shop is open or not depends entirely on his marathon schedule and mood. 🏃‍♂️ 🍃In the summer, they always go to Japan for a vacation, and the shop is closed during that time. 🎢But so far, none of the cakes I’ve tried have been disappointing! The cakes here are known for being not too sweet, which is really the highest praise for desserts from an Asian perspective! 🍰 I’ve always wanted to try their strawberry shortcake, but unfortunately, it requires a reservation in advance, and you can only buy a whole cake.
