Brussels' Spanish Flavors | Michelin Guide

As residents of the Sablon area, we are surrounded by Michelin-starred restaurants and numerous art galleries. However, I often habitually overlook them in my daily life. So, I must thank Brother Cui for his invitation, which has opened a new chapter in my restaurant exploration journey!🍻 Hispania Brussels, the restaurant of the hotel, has an overall decor style that leans towards elegance and classicism. However, due to the small size of the restaurant, the distance between tables is a bit cramped, which can cause a slight discomfort. For the dishes, we mainly ordered some specialties and recommended items. The #Roast Suckling Pig and #Squid Rice recommended by Brother Cui were both highly appealing. 🍖The roast meat was cooked to a perfect crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich and flavorful sauce that provided a refreshing contrast to the meat, helping to cut through the richness. The only minor drawback was that the fat at the connection between the skin and the meat was a bit excessive, which could make it a bit greasy if eaten too quickly or in large quantities. The squid rice had a very rich flavor, combined with large pieces of seafood, offering a delightful combination of freshness and chewiness in the mouth, which I highly recommend. 🐚The shellfish appetizer was less impressive, with a somewhat soft texture and heavy seasoning that overshadowed the natural flavor of the seafood. 🍮For dessert, we ordered three different items. The cheesecake was the standout, while the other two were just average and not particularly remarkable! Hispania, as a Spanish dining brand, has a presence not only in Brussels but also in London.
