Brussels 1-Day Layover Guide 🇧🇪
Typhoon in Shanghai unexpectedly gave me a 1-day trip to Brussels! This compact city is perfect for a layover day tour—all attractions are super centralized, mostly around Brussels Grand Place, and the whole city smells like chocolate and waffles 🍫🧇! 🚞 Transportation Tips Luggage Storage: Go down to Level 0 at the airport, turn left after exiting, and you’ll find luggage storage. Prices vary by size: 8 EUR, 10 EUR, or 12 EUR per day 🧳. Train Tickets: Buy a round-trip airport train ticket on B1 of the airport. There’s a weekend discount (only 18 EUR!) for the route Brussels Airport Zaventem ⇆ Brussels Central Station 🚂. 🚶🏻♀️ Itinerary Near Brussels Grand Place: Visit Manneken Pis (the “Peeing Boy”), colorful street art, and historic churches. Manneken Pis is a total fashion icon—he wears a different outfit every day 👕! Pl. du Jeu de Balle (Market): Open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. It’s bustling with tons of items—great for slow browsing and treasure-hunting 🛍️! 🍺 Dining Spot Le Marmiton (near the Grand Place) Highly recommend: Oysters and mussels 🦪🦪! Not a fan: Beef stew with beer—it was too salty for my taste 😐. #Brussels #BrusselsTravelGuide #BrusselsLayover #Europe #EuropeTravel
