Budget Accommodation in Antananarivo, Madagascar

For fellow budget travelers heading to Tana recently, I highly recommend Madagascar Underground Hostel at 45,000 AR per bed (~$10). Currently the best value I've found in town—clean, well-kept, and run by super friendly staff. 💰 Price Comparisons (LOL): Golden Sea Hotel (Chinese-owned, Fujianese): Quoted 100,000 AR/night, but the rooms weren’t anything special. Pacific Hotel next door: 58,000 AR/night... with no running water! Who even stays there at that price? 😂 🏨 Mid-Range Option: La Lanterne: Super clean, modern, and comfy. Paid 65,000 AR (down from 70,000 AR) when I arrived on the 25th, but now Booking.com shows $19/night (incl. taxes). Inflation or demand?
