Buffalo | A Go-To Candlelit Dinner Spot
Buffalo | A Go-To Candlelit Dinner Spot I Keep Coming Back To 🕯️🍷 For the past two or three years, every time I’ve visited this restaurant, it’s been on a chilly, drizzly day. When the rain keeps you indoors, and you grow tired of wearing pajamas day after day, there’s nothing better than getting dressed up, calling a friend, and heading out for a cozy candlelit dinner. 🌧️👗💫 I absolutely love the decor here—it’s so vintage and nostalgic. The dining room is dimly lit, with very few overhead lights, much like the French restaurants I used to visit in LA. Most of the glow comes from flickering candles, softening everything in sight and wrapping the space in warm, intimate light. 🕰️✨ The complimentary pre-meal bread is fairly standard, but the dipping sauce is absolutely incredible—a perfect blend of aromatic herbs and unique flavors that you just can’t stop scooping up. 🥖🌿 For starters, I highly recommend the Fried Artichoke Heart dish (I can’t quite recall the exact name!). It’s like an elevated version of the classic tomato-and-mozzarella stack, with tender fried artichoke hearts tucked in the middle. The plating is also super photogenic! 📸🍅🧀 The Fried Calamari is another must-try appetizer—crispy, tender, and perfectly paired with a tangy cocktail sauce. It goes wonderfully with a glass of sparkling wine and some good, juicy gossip. 🍤🥂🗣️ For the main course, if you prefer something light and tangy, go for the Seafood Pasta—a delicious mix of fresh, juicy seafood. If you’re in the mood for something richer and creamier, try the Lobster and Shrimp Pasta—loaded with firm, succulent shrimp and lobster meat. 🦞🍝 Out of curiosity, I also ordered the Fried Chicken Salad with Rice. The fried chicken cutlet was decent, but the real star was the salad on top—arugula, olive oil, cucumber, and cheese tossed in a slightly sweet dressing that balanced the bitterness of the greens. The cheese added a salty kick, and the cucumber brought a refreshing crunch. Eating a bite of chicken with the salad and rice together? That’s the simple joy of carbs at its finest. 🍚🥗😋 Dessert, however, was a letdown—it reminded me of a super-sweet Canadian-style fruitcake, which wasn’t really my thing. 🍰🙅♀️ All in all, this spot offers great value—about $50 USD per person. Just be sure to make a reservation in advance! 📅💖 Restaurant: The Left Bank Address: 511 Rhode Island St, Buffalo, NY 14213, United States #VibeDining#BuffaloEats#CandlelitDinner#DateNightSpot#CozyRestaurant#FrenchInspired#FoodAndMood#WarmAndIntimate#DinnerWithFriends#BuffaloFoodScene
