Bunker Seafood and Spirits
š Address: 260 E Schoodic Dr, Birch Harbor, ME 04613 The Airbnb we stayed in was nestled in the woods š², and surprisingly, finding a restaurant open at night felt like a tough task! But that didnāt stop us from discovering this hidden gemāa localās favorite spot with views of the bay, where we sipped beer š» and feasted on fresh seafood. Everything here (both food and drinks) was fantastic! We loved it so much that we even came back the next day to buy clams to cook at our Airbnb š¦Ŗ. The only tiny downside? If you sit outside, be prepared for lots of mosquitoes and bugsāthey were a bit of a nuisance! š¦ One fun thing to note: As soon as you walk in, youāll see tons of $1 bills hanging from the ceiling. Turns out, itās a donation initiativeāthey collect these bills to help people in the town who need a hand. How heartwarming! ā¤ļø Another plus? They only source seafood directly from local fishermenāso itās fresh, and it supports the community (everyone wins!). š£ They donāt take reservations, but if youāre a group of 8 or more, itās best to let them know in advance. Pro tip: They only open during summer, and their hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 12 PM to 8 PM. We felt so lucky to stumble upon this placeāwhat a happy, delicious dinner! š #DailyFoodDiary #MomentsWorthRecording #SeasideViews #Maine #MaineTravel #MaineLobster #MaineRestaurants #MaineFood #MaineEats
