Cádiz: A Perfect City for a Leisurely Walk

Originally planned 2 days in Seville, but after finishing all the sights in one day (oops, forgot to book the Alcázar! 😅), I decided on a spontaneous day trip to Cádiz! 🌊 Why Cádiz? Europe’s oldest city, shaped by Phoenicians, Romans & Moors. Surrounded by the sea on 3 sides—Spain’s historic gateway to the Atlantic. ⚓ Where Columbus set sail for the New World in the 15th century! 🚂 Getting There From Seville, a 1h40m scenic Renfe train (with way too many stops 🏡) brought me to this coastal gem. The Perfect Citywalk Itinerary 📍 Catedral de Cádiz (18th-century Cathedral) Honest review? After seeing so many cathedrals in Spain, this one didn’t blow my mind… BUT: Underground crypts (a culture shock for sure! 💀) Tower climb = best views of the city! 🌆 Pro tip: Grab gelato at the plaza (4.8⭐ on Google—worth it!). 📍 Museo de Cádiz (€1.50!) Tiny but packed with history—from Stone Age tools to Roman artifacts. 🏺 📍 Torre Tavira (€5) Glass staircase ➔ panoramic views! (Sadly, no Morocco sighting—blame the clouds! ☁️) 📍 Seaside Stroll Wandered past: Ancient castles & churches 🏰 Roman theater ruins 🎭 Sun-kissed beaches 🌊 Final Thoughts? If you’re near Seville, Cádiz is a must—even for just half a day! Where else can you trace 3,000 years of history while breathing in that Mediterranean breeze? 😌 #Cádiz #SpainTravel #Andalusia #HiddenGems #Citywalk ✨
