ca Back in Winnipeg | Must-Eat & Must-Do Before You Leave

Just flew from Vancouver to Winnipeg ✈️ and put together a list of places worth visiting and tasty restaurants I tried this time (left out some I’d posted before). 📍 Thermëa Spa ♨️ Remember when it was CA$70/person? Now it’s CA$90—still a way better deal than Vancouver’s CA$145 version (plus a 3-hour drive 🚗). There are three thermal pools, saunas, steam rooms, and lounges. They’ve even added hourly steam sessions. The spa restaurant 🍴 is delicious, and it’s so relaxing to enjoy a drink 🍹 after soaking. Best part? It’s in the south end—super close and convenient. 📍 The Village at Pineridge Hollow A cute artificial town about 50 minutes’ drive away. 🚗🌲 It’s beautiful—has a small farm with wild boars and goats 🐐, shops selling cute handmade goods, plus a brunch spot, the famous Nuburger, and Empty Cup Coffee ☕️. Their beetroot chips are a must-try—so good! 📍 The Forks A iconic market 🏛️. The second floor sells local crafts, the first floor is full of food vendors, and there’s even a candy shop 🍬. Lots of new spots since two years ago. You can also take a walk to the Red River in the nearby park. 🍴 Yujiro Japanese Restaurant 🇯🇵 Winnipeg’s best Japanese food 🍣—even made it to Canada’s Top 100 Restaurants! Fresh ingredients, beautifully presented. Highly recommend their nigiri and chirashi bowl. My go-to for sashimi cravings. 🍴 Cibo Waterfront Cafe 🌊 A Mediterranean fusion restaurant right by the Red River. Great views—especially from the patio. Perfect for fine dining with nice scenery 🍷. 🍴 Sargent Taco Shop 🌮 A tiny downtown spot with a 4.8⭐ from nearly 1,000 reviews. Too small to eat in, but the tacos are legit delicious! Recommend the ribeye, beef tongue, and Birria tacos. 🍴 Clay Oven 🇮🇳 "White-people-friendly" Indian food and I’m here for it 😍. Their cheese naan is everything—tastes like stuffed pizza crust! Goes perfectly with butter chicken. 🍮 Cake-ology A trendy bakery on Instagram 🧁 often rolling out creative desserts. You can even pre-order circular croissants! I’ve tried their croissants, cheesecakes, and mousse cakes—all delicious. 🍮 Viena Do Castelo 🇵🇹 A newfound gem for Portuguese egg tarts! The pastry is incredibly flaky, and the filling is deliciously gooey. My friend thought it was too sweet, but to me, it tasted just like the ones I had in Portugal. Loved it! #Travel #FoodAndFun #Winnipeg #WinnipegLife #WinnipegEats
