🌟 Calling all Crispy Fish Lovers!
It’s been a while since I visited Bai Wei Xuan, and I was thrilled to find lots of new dishes! As a long-standing restaurant in Philly, they’ve always been consistent and reliable. I used to always order the Sour String Bean with Chicken Gizzards and Three Cup Chicken, but this time, I decided to go all-in on their new items! Here’s my take: 🔥 【Sichuan Pepper Crispy Fish Slices】 🌶️ The fish is incredibly crispy and infused with the refreshing taste of cucumber and the aromatic kick of green Sichuan pepper. The spice level is just right—not too overwhelming. A must-order for crispy fish fans! 🥢 【Stir-Fried Beef Tripe with Pickled Radish】 The pickled radish is the star here! It balances the richness of the tripe perfectly. This dish is wok-fried to perfection with a strong "wok hei" flavor. Note: It’s a bit spicy, so proceed with caution if you’re sensitive to heat! 🥒 【Stir-Fried Chicken Gizzards with Crispy Cucumber】 I used to love their sour string bean version, but this new crispy cucumber twist is just as amazing! Super satisfying with rice, and it even makes a fantastic next-day noodle topping. The crunchy cucumber complements the gizzards perfectly. 🍃 【Stir-Fried Frog with Perilla Leaves】 The frog was tender but slightly softer than I’d prefer. The perilla leaves added a lovely aroma, though the portion felt a bit small. Overall, Bai Wei Xuan remains a solid choice with exciting new flavors! If you’re in Philly, don’t miss out! 💯 #Philly #PhillyLife #PhillyFood #PhillyChineseFood #PhillyEats #PhillyStudentLife #PhillyTravel
