Came to Hawaii Just for This Uni Rice Bowl 🍣

This dish is driving everyone crazy with cravings! 😋 The menu is in the second picture... I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Oahu. I was already amazed by this place 22 years ago, and it still delivers just as well today! 🌟 Restaurant Name: Izakaya Uosan No more words, here's the ordering guide: 📕 ✏️ Top 1️⃣ Must-Order: Uni Truffle Butter Egg Yolk Rice! Uni Truffle Butter Egg Yolk Rice Recommendation Level: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I haven't found a substitute for this bowl of rice yet. The uni is sweet and fresh, wrapped in the aroma of egg yolk, truffle, and butter. Mixing it all together in your mouth is divine. I suggest two people can share one portion, and order more if needed. This kind of rich rice can be a bit overwhelming, haha. I'm drooling just looking at the photo. 🤤 ✏️ A5 Wagyu + Foie Gras Sushi Miyakazaki Beef Sushi + Foie Gras Recommendation Level: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The quality of the wagyu is amazing! However, the foie gras was a bit overcooked for my taste (I'm a foie gras fanatic, and it's hard to find good foie gras in the US). Ordered 4 pieces anyway! 😤 ✏️ Mantis Shrimp Sashimi Sushi (Shako) Recommendation Level: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 First time trying mantis shrimp sashimi, and it was a pleasant surprise. The seasoning is fantastic, with a lemongrass flavor that's tangy and sweet, and the shrimp is super fresh! 🦐 ✏️ Uni Chawan Mushi (Steamed Egg with Uni) Recommendation Level: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The steamed egg is very fresh and rich, smooth and tender. But it's just a small bowl. 🥚 ✏️ Beef Tongue Recommendation Level: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The beef tongue is very tender, topped with pickled onions that help cut through the richness. 🍖 ✏️ Toro & Foie Gras Sushi Recommendation Level: 🌟🌟🌟 The ingredients are fresh, but personally, I think the combination of toro and foie gras isn't as amazing as the wagyu. 🐟 ✏️ Chef's Special Sushi Combo (10 pieces) Recommendation Level: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This isn't on the menu, but it includes 10 different types of sushi. The chef will enthusiastically explain each piece to you. 🍣 🌀 We also ordered two pots of sake. 💰 The average cost per person is around $150. 🅿️ If you're driving, you can park in the parking garage next door, and they will reimburse your parking fee! 📅 I recommend making a reservation in advance.
