Can’t Get Over It! | Full Honolulu Guide 🤙🏼

The post-trip depression is too real 😭 So here I am, coping by sharing my full photo-and-fun itinerary! ✈️ Flew from Shanghai via ANA with a layover in Tokyo 🐢, landing in Honolulu around 8 AM Hawaiian time. Checked into the hotel, freshened up, and vacation mode: ON! 🏝️ 🏖️ Day 1 Afternoon: Pearl Harbor: Went straight to USS Arizona & USS Missouri. Arizona requires booking 24h in advance on Recreation.gov 🎫 — but we lucked out and snagged tickets after landing! ⚠️ If you visit Missouri first (tour + exploring takes 2h+), allow plenty of time. Shuttle rides between sites can be unpredictable — don’t miss your Arizona slot! 🏖️ Day 2 Morning: Hanauma Bay Snorkeling 🤿 — Absolutely loved it! Didn’t want to get out of the water 😍 Perfect for jet-lagged early birds. Clear water, fewer people, great for beginners. Wear sunscreen! ❗ Book 48h in advance at 7 AM on the official website. Afternoon: Byodo-In Temple 🏯 — $5 entry, card only. Zhang Xueliang’s Tomb Tantalus Lookout for a breathtaking sunset 🌅 — Diamond Head visible on the left! Headed back early — jet lag is real 😴 🏖️ Day 3 Morning: Kualoa Ranch 🐎 — If you’re not super into ATV/horseback/ziplining, the Movie Tour is enough! Our group had only 8 people. Rode around, listened to stories, took photos — super chill. Kane’ohe Bay — Took photos with the “Chinaman’s Hat” island 🎩⛰️. Afternoon: Started the mini road trip: Kailua Beach 🏖️ — Crowded but gorgeous white sand & jelly-like water. Waimanalo Beach — Less crowded, even saw a rainbow! 🌈 Makapu’u Lookout — Epic elevated views of the ocean and islands. Halona Blowhole — Natural water fountain ⛲️ Koko Kai Beach — Watched the sunset along the horizon 🌄 🏖️ Day 4 Morning: Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden 🌿 — Beautiful, BUT the staff at the gate were unusually mean (rare in Hawaii!). They won’t open even one second before 9 AM — no need to arrive early. Afternoon: Continued the road trip: Haleiwa Town — Ate delicious garlic shrimp 🍤 and explored. Papa’iloa Beach — Empty golden sand beach with unbelievably blue water. Laniakea Beach — Saw sea turtles sunbathing! 🐢 Beach Swings — Swung over the sand 🏄‍♀️ ❌ The “Crooked Tree” — Skip it, it’s gone now 😢 Sunset Beach — Ended the day with beach sunset views 🌇 #Hawaii #Oahu #TravelHawaii #HonoluluDiary 🌴📸
