Can鈥檛 make it to Versailles in Paris?
馃専Visit the Hotel de la Marine instead! 馃専During my last trip to Paris, I made a point to check out the Hotel de la Marine. Originally the headquarters of the French Navy, it was only open to the public for visits starting in 2020. 馃専The Hotel de la Marine is perfectly located, right next to the Place de la Concorde, in the heart of Paris. 馃専Inside, the Hotel de la Marine is full of French classical court characteristics. It鈥檚 even more beautiful than I imagined, with each room exuding classical elegance and exquisite luxury, reminiscent of the equally magnificent Versailles Palace. 馃専In addition to areas like bedrooms and studies, there are also banqueting halls and a spectacular Roman column gallery that are perfect for taking photos. 馃専The best part is that the Hotel de la Marine is not crowded with tourists, making it easy to capture the grand hall with few people, and from the gallery, you can also enjoy views of the Place de la Concorde and the Eiffel Tower. 馃専Another highlight is the free audio guide provided by the Hotel de la Marine, available in Chinese. As you enter each room, the corresponding story is automatically played, offering an immersive experience of the hotel鈥檚 past glories and declines. 馃専The whole visit takes about 1-2 hours. It stays open until the evening, but for specific times, check the official website. It鈥檚 recommended to book in advance. 馃専If you don鈥檛 have time to make a special trip to Versailles in the suburbs, I highly recommend a visit to the Hotel de la Marine. It鈥檚 less crowded, and you can still enjoy the lavish French classical court style. #FrenchTravel #Paris #HoteldelaMarine #MuseumCheckIn #CulturalSights #ClassicalArchitecture #CourtStyle
