The snowflakes are large and hard, almost like little hailstones, and the pain when they hit your face is a reminder that this is the unpredictable Iceland, a destination for the lone traveler. 🌟Before the sky is fully lit, I checked in at Hallgrímskirkja under the deep blue sky, wandered along the commercial street below the church, where the colorful little houses seem to reflect the rich inner lives of Icelanders; the artistically inspiring Sun Voyager sculpture stands alone by the seaside; and the Höfði House in the blizzard.
