Can You Still Hold Koalas at the Zoo? What Else Is There to See?

I've heard that koala holding is only allowed in Queensland now. I was torn between Lone Pine and Currumbin zoos at the time. One is in Brisbane (BNE), and the other is on the Gold Coast (GC). I heard that you can still hold koalas at the GC zoo. However, during my recent visit to the BNE zoo, I found out that koala holding is no longer available. But you can still take close-up photos and group pictures with them for around $40 per person, if I remember correctly. It's a bit pricey, but the experience is still worth it. Ultimately, I chose BNE because I felt there were more koalas there! (I even managed to capture a rare moment of koala joeys playfighting, as mentioned in my previous post.) In addition to koalas, there are plenty of kangaroos! For just $2 worth of feed, you can feed them. The kangaroos are on the lawn, and seeing them reminded me of the deer at Nara Park—they're quite similar, haha. Some kangaroos are a bit aggressive; they'll snatch the food right out of your hand and even push other kangaroos away when they try to join in. How rude! #Australia #Zoo
