🏠 Canada's Old-House Charm! I'll Always Have a Soft Spot for This Place!

There's nothing that brings me more joy than dining at The Old House. Back in the day, it was a well-known restaurant where everyone was familiar with. All the dishes are prepared in a home-style way, completely different from other restaurants! 🐟 My Top Three Dishes! 🌶️ Fish in Hot Chili Oil, with Chinese Cabbage at the Bottom! The Old House's version of fish in hot chili oil is truly unique in Toronto! It's spicy but not numbing, and it's edible for those who don't eat spicy food because the chili isn't actually hot! The fish slices are just different from others, visibly large chunks! Delicious!! I usually don't use the word "best," but for The Old House's fish in hot chili oil, I'll say: I think it's the best fish in hot chili oil!! 🥖 Beef with Fried Dough Sticks Many people know their fish in hot chili oil is delicious, but it seems few people order beef with fried dough sticks. I wholeheartedly recommend this dish!! I've been eating it since college, and I order it every time I go! Everyone I've recommended it to has said it's delicious!! It has a sweet and sour taste! The fried dough sticks are crispy, wrapped in sauce! Do give it a try! I know posting about The Old House might spark debates, but every restaurant will have its lovers and non-lovers. For me, The Old House is my preference, and it's the place I mention when someone asks me for must-eat spots in Toronto! It's like its name, The Old House, the older it gets, the better it becomes!! I rushed to The Old House today! The uncles and aunties at The Old House welcomed us with their usual smiles, sat us down, and said: "It's been a while, I thought you guys forgot about me!" I suddenly felt a bit sad—how could I forget! I won't forget!! #Canada #Toronto #TorontoLife #TorontoFood #TorontoFoodie #TorontoFunAndDine #LivingInToronto
