Canada Feels Like Street Food Heaven 🥹 Hot Wonton and Grilled Skewers ✨

Recently, Vancouver's sudden drop in temperature had me craving some hot, comforting Chinese food. Checked out Mr. Beggar’s Wontons, which has a decor that feels just like a cute little street food stall in an alley! The staff mentioned they’re one of the few places that exclusively does charcoal-grilled skewers 🔥. The default spice level is mild, but since I'm a spice wimp, I had mine non-spicy. 🍲 Wild Wontons Steaming hot pork wontons packed with big chunks of fresh meat‼️ The broth is a peppery shrimp and seaweed soup – the pepper flavor is strong, making it super warming. This dish was polished off quickly; I bet this soup would also be perfect with noodles (craving it!). 🐷 Guo Bao Rou (Sweet and Sour Pork) Pork loin coated in a thin batter and deep-fried until golden and crispy✨. Drizzled with a tangy-sweet syrup, each bite is a delightful mix of sweet, sour, and crispy without being dry. 🐓 Beggar’s Chicken Skewers My favorite skewers! They have a slightly sweet BBQ flavor that’s incredibly aromatic. There’s still plenty of meat on the chicken bones, and the charcoal grilling makes the bones even more flavorful. 🐂 Beef Skewers Just what I was craving – a mix of fatty and lean beef skewers. The fatty parts are deliciously juicy. The meat is perfectly sized and has a strong cumin flavor. These skewers are a hit! #Vancouver #VancouverEats #VancouverFoodie #Skewers #GrilledSkewers #SweetAndSourPork #WildWontons #VancouverLife
