Canada’s Hidden Gem for Caucasian Cuisine | Google 4.9 🌟

Hello everyone! Have you ever had the experience where you find a place with classic flavors that’s popular among the local elderly? When I walked into this restaurant and saw it was filled with older folks from the Caucasus region, my first thought was that this place must have authentic flavors. 🤔 Being the only East Asian face in the restaurant, I figured the food here would be quite genuine. To my surprise, reservations were booked until next weekend! We were lucky to arrive just in time to snag a spot. I recommend calling ahead if you want to try this place, as walk-ins like us have a very slim chance of getting a table. Here’s what we ordered for our party of three: 🥗 Avocado Salad:The dressing is Italian-style, tangy and sweet. It’s quite tasty! 🫕 Borscht (Beet Soup) x2:Perfect for a cold day—very comforting and satisfying. 👍 🍖 Ontario Grilled Rack of Lamb:The restaurant’s recommendation. The lamb was tender and juicy, with a perfectly pink center. The meat was cooked without any gamey taste, and the sides had a unique flavor. This was my favorite dish of the meal. 🥘 Beef Stew in Clay Pot:The clay pot beef stew with chestnuts was hearty and sweet thanks to the colorful bell peppers. The pot looked small but held quite a lot of food—each scoop revealed more delicious stew! 🥂 The restaurant rarely sees East Asian customers, but the owner was very warm and friendly. She chatted with us and shared about her charming little place. The retro vibe of the restaurant creates a relaxed atmosphere, and even the grandpas and grandmas might strike up a conversation. It’s a great choice for family gatherings or meals with friends. Additionally, the restaurant is dedicated to helping low-income families access food. According to the owner, she has supported over 300 families. 💰 The cost is around $50-60 per person, which is quite reasonable for the amount of food you get. Overall, it was a great experience!
