Tried this place for the first time last Saturday. Had the large order of wings, it comes with steak fries (thicker cut). Oh my, these wings are seriously good. I've come back 2 times after that Saturday. I've also tried the chicken fingers, which are also good, but tgey are your standard chicken fingers, nothing special. They offer the wings, which are moist and meaty, and a mountain of fries. They don't skimp on the portion size. The wings I got the first time was medium sauce, and I also got the hot n honey, which was equally as good. Would definitely be back to try other things on the menu. They also offer deli sandwiches, I think I'll try the corned beef next.

Wings have a fishy smell like they must be using old wings. Fries were just pieces of fried baked potatoe taste, not crunchy and no salt, very blend worst fries ever. All there soda tasted off (maybe cups werent fully rinsed of detergent?) Very pushy waitress and there was no refills on the soda, we had to order another. Never coming here even if it is the last wing place in gta... would like to rate 0stars

Cross this one off your list! We popped into Bisto on Avenue Sun Dec 18 after an afternoon of Xmas shopping. My wife ordered the fish and chips and I the large wings (2lbs) with medium sauce. The place looked nice enough and we were pretty hungry. But, the impression we got from the menu, we weren't expecting alot. Unfortunately, it didn't even meet those charitable expectations. And the service was slow. Usually like a beer with my wings but was driving so ordered a coke which came flat. The waitress brought by the can instead. Waited quite a while for our food. Had to order another pop and of course was charged for it ($2.50ea) The wings came, obviously cooked in old oil (dark skin), didn't taste fresh and weren't sauced. When I inquired, the waitress stated they cook the sauce into the wings. I've had wings everywhere. There was no sauce on these wings and after trying a couple I sent them back. The waitress snapped that they've been cooking wings for 32 years. I didn't reorder. My wife's fish and chips came. Not the hand-dipped fish and chips you'd expect from pub fare. Nope, this was two standard frozen breaded fillets. Tartar sauce came in plastic packets as did the ketchup. The coleslaw was pure vinegar, not creamy. Thankfully the jumbo fries (frozen) were ok. That, and complementary parking was the only saving grace for Bistro on Avenue. Otherwise, one of the worst pub foods we've had in...

The owner Cyndy does not like freedom of speech, she chooses to block and ban people from her establishment, I should say Lou's place, who are we kidding, he's such a kind and generous person, I can't understand how these two are complete opposites, back to Cyndy, whenever she disagrees or doesn't like anyone, she bans them, she uses her business to grandstand her political views, or anything for that matter . I have seen her ban patrons that were loyal to Lou's business for many years, and decades, only for her own selfish reasons.

The wings at best are okay when fresh, and not re-fried.

I have not tried the Steak-Pit, from the people I have spoken to, it was a thumbs šŸ‘ .

The staff are usually spot on, no complaints, good people .

The toilets are a travesty, please visit the toilets before ordering food, you may change your mind. The mens washroom urine hole has been out of order for over 10 years, how hard is it to fix a urine hole. The smell of The sewer emanates upstairs and downstairs. Over the years nothing has been done to rectify the issue. Perhaps there's a cost to that.

If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy your meals without retributionfor how you feel, be it the food or anything for that matter, then this is not the place .

By the way, Silence speaks volumes .

I hope...

Went here for the first time in a party of five to watch the Leafs game last night. Wings and fries were fine, but the service was very strange. We had a waiter who was quick to serve us but wouldn't even wait to let us finish telling him our orders before he would speedwalk away, and we had to try multiple times to flag him down just to finish ordering our food. About 20-30min in, before we were done eating and had plans to order coffee and dessert, he came with our bills and insisted we pay. We did so but explained we still wanted to order more, and he got upset stating that they were out of cake and coffee(?) and he needed us to leave because he "needed our table". Eventually a waitress came over and explained that there was a $35 minimum per person, and I guess the waiter was unimpressed and wanted us gone since we didn't meet the minimum, I'm not clear on that part. When we explained that we weren't informed of the minimum she was more understanding and she said we could stay and got our coffees and a dessert. I'm only giving this place two stars instead of one because the waitress seemed genuinely nice. Besides that though we have no intention of returning here since the atmosphere was not...
