Cape Town Traveler's Photo Dump
Cape Town: A Decade-Late Dream Come Trueπππ After ten years of longing, Cape Town was everything I had imagined it to be. Driving along False Bay was an experience that was incredibly laid-back and beautiful, a kind of light-hearted joy that's hard to find in the usual hustle and bustle of life.πππ Personal Thoughts: Truth Coffee: The steampunk style is quite visually appealing, but the coffee and food were quite average. The main course I ordered, even the bread, was cold.πππ La Colombe: A must-visit for its exceptional food and aesthetic use of ingredients. However, the journey there involves winding mountain roads, and driving back in the pitch dark at night is very unsafe. It's worth noting that many highways in South Africa are unlit at night.πππ Casual Dining: The Nine in Sea Point was a delightful surprise for a more relaxed meal.πππ Table Mountain Hike: If you plan to climb Table Mountain, make sure to bring plenty of water, hiking poles, and sunscreen. It's advisable to hike up and take the cable car down. Don't be misled by locals who say it's an "easy 1.5 hours"βthe path is mostly large, uneven rocks and requires some scramblingπ€©π€©π€©. There are hardly any railings along the way, which can be particularly anxiety-inducing for those with a fear of heights. I was very ill-prepared, setting off with just half a bottle of water.πππ Cape of Good Hope Weather: The weather around the Cape of Good Hope can be quite unpredictable. I wasn't particularly fortunate, as I encountered dense fog in the area. However, the determined Chinese woman in me still insisted on climbing to the southwesternmost point, only to be met with zero visibility.π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ #CapeTownTravel #AfricaTrip #CapeOfGoodHope #TableMountain #CapeTown
