Cardiff One-Day Itinerary
In the morning, depart from Bristol π. Purchase round-trip train tickets via "Trainline" β the journey takes about one hour. Arrive at Cardiff Central Station, located in the city centre, making it very convenient to access various attractions. π Cardiff Castle Student tickets cost Β£10 π· β best to book in advance on the official website. The interior is beautifully decorated and definitely worth a visit. You can also climb to the top for a panoramic view of Cardiff! π° π National Museum The museum has a relatively small collection, and some exhibition cases were even empty πΌοΈ. It feels more like a general art gallery than a traditional museum, displaying paintings, ceramics, photography, and more β but it lacks a strong sense of historical depth. However, one exhibition hall was showing a video about the Japanese invasion of China (likely based on a Japanese veteran's memoir?) β it was deeply moving and thought-provoking. π’ π Cardiff Bay Itβs a bit of a walk from the city centre (over 30 minutes) πΆ. Thereβs a Ferris wheel by the bay π‘ β tickets are around Β£4. The area has restaurants where you can enjoy a drink πΊ or a meal. On a pleasant day, itβs lovely to sit by the bay, chat, and feel the sea breeze. π π Restaurant: Afrikana Location: CF24 3JD. The food and service were great! π Highly recommend the Cheese Chicken β cheesy chicken served over fried rice. The meal for two (as shown) cost Β£33. π Restaurant: Wagamama Located near the city centre, less than a 10-minute walk from Cardiff Central Station. We had dinner here before heading back. Ordered the vegan chicken ramen π for Β£12 β tasty and had a hint of Chinese flavour! Feel free to use this English version for sharing or travel planning! π #Cardiff #TravelUK #DayTrip #FoodRecommendation
