Carl's Damaged Pet Warehouse – A Charming Animal Feeding Farm

This little farm has become our recent favorite for kid-friendly outings—it’s such a fun, heartwarming spot! Tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Gilbert, it’s not your typical “pay-to-enter” farm—here’s why it’s so special 🐾 First off, it’s a non-profit run out of an elderly man’s home, and it goes by the name Carl's Damaged Pet Warehouse. All the animals here are rescues—each one has been hurt or injured in some way, and Carl took them in to care for them. Knowing we’re interacting with animals that got a second chance makes the experience even more meaningful, especially for the kids (they kept asking, “Did this goat get better?” 😊). What Makes It Great for Families? No Set Hours & Free Entry: There’s no strict “open time”—you can pop by whenever it’s convenient (just be respectful of it being a residential area!). And best of all, it’s free—no admission fees, which is a huge win for budget-friendly family days.😊 Bring Your Own Animal Food: All you need to do is bring some veggies (or fruit without pits/seeds) to feed the animals. Check the third photo for a guide on what’s safe—things like carrots, lettuce, and apples (pitted!) work perfectly. The kids had a blast holding out veggies and watching the goats nudge their hands for more, and the turtles slowly crawl over for a snack too 🥕. Adorable, Friendly Animals: You’ll find a mix of sweet creatures here—goats (super curious and gentle!), turtles (great for calm little hands), turkeys (they make funny clucking sounds that crack kids up), donkeys (so soft to pet!), and cows. Each animal has its own personality, and Carl is happy to share little stories about them if he’s around.😊😊 A Little Tip for Visitors Since it’s in a neighborhood, make sure to keep noise levels down and clean up any food scraps (though the animals usually eat every last bit!). Also, if you have extra veggies at home that you’re not going to use, this is the perfect place to bring them— the animals will love it, and it’s a great way to teach kids about reducing waste.😊😊 📍 Address 418 S 164th St, Gilbert, AZ 85234 If you’re looking for a low-key, joyful way to spend time with your kids in Gilbert, this rescue farm is a must-visit. It’s not flashy, but it’s full of heart—and watching your little ones light up while feeding and petting these sweet rescues? That’s the kind of family memory that sticks. #gilbert #az #ArizonaFamilyOutings #AZKidFriendly #Arizona #RescueAnimals #FamilyFun
