A Roundup of 5 Delicious "White People Food" Spots in Phoenix

I’ve been living in the U.S. for a few months now, with my base in Phoenix. Today, I’m rounding up 5 spots that serve my personal favorite “white people food” (casual Western-style eats) from these past months! 1. First Watch 📍 Address: 2475 S Val Vista Rd, Ste 105, Gilbert, AZ 85295This is classic “white people brunch” at its best! The menu is pretty varied, with lots of combo options to choose from. On weekends, it’s packed—you’ll definitely have to wait in line, and most of the crowd is local Americans. My go-to here? Their French toast 😋—drizzle their signature spicy honey on top, and it’s absolute perfection. The menu is designed to look like an old newspaper, which adds a fun, retro vibe to the meal. And the servers? They’re so friendly—some even kneel slightly when taking your order, which makes the whole dining experience feel extra welcoming. 2. Texas Roadhouse 📍 Address: 8510 S Emerald Dr, Tempe, AZ 85284Who would’ve thought a steakhouse’s most famous dish would be its pre-meal bread? But trust me, their complimentary bread is so good I could cry 😭—warm, soft, and slathered with sweet cinnamon butter. It’s so delicious that it almost makes the main courses feel a little “meh” in comparison. That said, I personally loved their baked sweet potato and loaded baked potato—creamy, cheesy, and just the right amount of indulgent. 3. Bosa Donuts 📍 Address: 3519 W Glendale Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85051This donut shop is a family favorite—and a total crowd-pleaser! Run by Vietnamese owners, it has several locations around the area, and the quality is consistently great. The shop itself is pretty simple (no fancy decor), but they offer tons of donut varieties—all soft, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth good 🍩. Pro tip for fellow Asians: We all prefer the plain white donuts—they’re less sweet, so they don’t feel overwhelming. Some of the other flavors are very sugary, so proceed with caution if you’re not a fan of super sweet treats! 4. MOD Pizza 📍 Address: 2904 S Santan Village Pkwy 101, Gilbert, AZ 85295This is my nephew’s all-time favorite pizza spot—and honestly, I get why (he’s got a total “American stomach”!). But even I have to admit: their pizza is genuinely delicious. The crust is made fresh and baked right away, and you can add as many toppings as you want for free. Every bite is fresh and flavorful—so satisfying that even my mom, who usually isn’t a fan of Western food, can eat two big slices every time we go! 5. In-N-Out Burger 📍 Address: 2449 S. Market Street, Gilbert, AZ 85295Known as the “Pride of California,” this burger chain is also available right here in neighboring Arizona! Their biggest selling point? Everything is fresh—no frozen ingredients. The potatoes are hand-cut (with skins on!) for their fries, and the beef is butchered fresh in cold storage facilities before being sent to each location. Sorry, McDonald’s—but In-N-Out definitely wins in the “freshness” department. I’m temporarily switching my loyalty to them 😂! (P.S. I forgot to take photos of the Phoenix location, so I used pics from the California spot I visited earlier—same great food, though!) To be totally unbiased: Some Western-style eats are actually really tasty when you have them every once in a while. Of course, all of this is just my personal opinion—food is subjective, and what matters most is that it suits your taste! #StandUpForWhitePeopleFood #AZPhoenix #AZPhoenixTravel #USFoodExploration #ArizonaEats #PhoenixFood #WesternStyleEats #USTravel #USLife
