๐Ÿฆ I ordered the Sunbathing Shrimp this time, and I highly recommend it. It was my first time trying cold roasted shrimp with spices. The salty freshness of the spices complements the natural sweetness of the shrimp. However, the sauce was not to my taste, it had a strong tomato ketchup flavor which I didn't like ๐Ÿ‘Ž. ๐Ÿž I was surprised to see kaya toast priced at $14 for the first time. In Singapore, that would be considered outrageous, right? The one here was way too sweet, even though it came with a soft-boiled egg and was served in the traditional way. For kaya toast, I still prefer the ones from Ipoh! The bread should be crispy and paired with butter and kaya sauce. ๐Ÿœ The Laksa was as authentic in taste as always, but the noodles were too thick and didn't absorb the flavors well. I miss the Katong Laksa that you can eat with a spoon ๐Ÿ˜ญ. ๐ŸŸ I also recommend the whole sea bass. The fish is very tender! It's marinated with turmeric and garnished with mint and other herbs like fennel. ๐ŸดCassia ๐Ÿ“ 1314 7th St, Santa Monica, CA 90401 #Cassia # Santa Monica #Southeast Asian cuisine
