Challenge: Eating at 100 Restaurants in Halifax (4/100)

Au Liban (Lebanese Restaurant) Located where Hermitage used to be—similar layout and decor. 📌 1460 Lower Water St, Halifax, NS B3J 3Z2 Their menu is pretty straightforward, divided into cold appetizers, hot appetizers, and main courses. I haven’t had much experience with kebabs and grilled skewers, so I wasn’t sure about portion sizes or pricing. A friend told me the servings here are generally generous, so we only ordered two appetizers and one main. Appetizers: AU LIBAN HUMMUS - $22 🧆 Their signature dip made with AAA beef cubes and pine nuts—creamy almost like mashed potatoes—served with warm pita bread. Taste: Pretty good! The beef was a bit chewy but flavorful. SUJUK ROLLS - $17 🌯 Minced beef sausage | caramelized onions | mozzarella | feta cheese Taste: I loved this! Though I wish there was a bit more sausage inside. Main: KEFTA KEBAB - 🍖 Two large skewers of minced AAA beef and lamb (from PEI!), served with a refreshing dip, marinated tomatoes, and a big piece of pita. If you have a small appetite, one main could be enough. We were both super full by the end. We didn’t order drinks this time since we were in a hurry, but the cocktails at other tables looked amazing—definitely trying those next time! 💬 I really enjoyed the food and would come back. A friend also told me there’s a spot in Halifax where you can get a ton of kebabs for around $30—can’t wait to try that and share if it’s good! #Halifax #LifeInHalifax #Foodie #FoodDiary #NovaScotia #LebaneseFood #FoodReview 🍽️✨
