Checking In at Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound, Maine šŸ¦ž

A trip to Maine isn’t complete without a stop at Trenton Bridge—this iconic lobster spot lives up to the hype, and the experience starts the second you walk in!🄳🄳 First up: pick your own lobster! The display case is crammed with fresh, wiggly beauties, so I went for one hard-shell and one soft-shell to compare. Handed them over to the staff, and they said it’d take about 20 minutes to steam to perfection.🄳🄳🄳 While waiting (the anticipation was real! ā³), the server suggested their fresh clams—and wow, what a smart call. Plump, briny, and so fresh, they were the perfect pre-lobster snack to tide me over. I also couldn’t resist adding a classic lobster roll and a blueberry soda to the order—when in Maine, right? That blueberry soda deserves its own shoutout 🫐! Sweet, fruity, and not overly syrupy—so refreshing with the seafood. I loved it so much, I grabbed an extra bottle to take with me on the road! Then the main event arrived: two steamy, bright red lobsters 🄳! The hard-shell one was packed with roe—such a rich, luxurious treat. But the soft-shell? Total game-changer. It peeled so easily (no fighting with tough shells!), and to my surprise, I thought it tasted even better—tenderer, with a sweeter, more delicate flavor. I’ve only had lobster tails before, so cracking into a whole lobster was a new (and messy, but delicious) adventure. Every bite was sweet, juicy, and pure Maine seafood magic. The lobster roll, by the way, was no slouch either—chunked lobster meat, light mayo, and a buttery bun. #FoodDiary #MaineLobster #TrentonBridge
