Checking In at Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound, Maine š¦
A trip to Maine isnāt complete without a stop at Trenton Bridgeāthis iconic lobster spot lives up to the hype, and the experience starts the second you walk in!š„³š„³ First up: pick your own lobster! The display case is crammed with fresh, wiggly beauties, so I went for one hard-shell and one soft-shell to compare. Handed them over to the staff, and they said itād take about 20 minutes to steam to perfection.š„³š„³š„³ While waiting (the anticipation was real! ā³), the server suggested their fresh clamsāand wow, what a smart call. Plump, briny, and so fresh, they were the perfect pre-lobster snack to tide me over. I also couldnāt resist adding a classic lobster roll and a blueberry soda to the orderāwhen in Maine, right? That blueberry soda deserves its own shoutout š«! Sweet, fruity, and not overly syrupyāso refreshing with the seafood. I loved it so much, I grabbed an extra bottle to take with me on the road! Then the main event arrived: two steamy, bright red lobsters š„³! The hard-shell one was packed with roeāsuch a rich, luxurious treat. But the soft-shell? Total game-changer. It peeled so easily (no fighting with tough shells!), and to my surprise, I thought it tasted even betterātenderer, with a sweeter, more delicate flavor. Iāve only had lobster tails before, so cracking into a whole lobster was a new (and messy, but delicious) adventure. Every bite was sweet, juicy, and pure Maine seafood magic. The lobster roll, by the way, was no slouch eitherāchunked lobster meat, light mayo, and a buttery bun. #FoodDiary #MaineLobster #TrentonBridge
