Chicago Nearby Getaway | Eating, Drinking & Fun in Milwaukee 🚗🍻

Milwaukee is only about a 2-hour drive from Chicago, making it a perfect weekend escape~ There aren’t too many attractions, so you can easily explore it in one day. If you also plan to visit Madison, consider staying overnight and heading there the next day (there’s an amazing company to tour—it’s like a giant real-life escape room! More details in the next post 😉). 🍽️ EAT Public Market 📍Address: 400 N Water St, Milwaukee, WI 53202 When in Wisconsin, you MUST try sausages 🌭, cheese 🧀, and beer 🍺! The market isn’t very big, so you can quickly explore the whole place. We chose Foltz Family Market—they sell raw sausages and are easy to spot. They offer many flavors, and you can pick your preferred one to be grilled fresh on the spot. The sausages are filled with real meat chunks and crunchy cartilage! Served in bread with pickles—absolutely delicious! 😋 My husband also tried their burger—the patty was super flavorful. Their meat quality is truly excellent! We also bought different types of cheese from the cheese shop across the way 🧀. Wisconsin is famous for these little cheese blocks —so tasty! Don’t miss the bakery either—their cakes, cookies, and tiramisu are all worth trying. Not overly sweet, and no disappointments here! 🍰 🍺 DRINK New Glarus Highly recommended for beer lovers! This Wisconsin beer is only sold within Wisconsin—nowhere else! 🍻 That’s how exclusive it is, and the taste is truly great. You can find it in stores and gas stations. Lakefront Brewery 📍Address: 1872 N Commerce St, Milwaukee, WI 53212 This is a small local brewery that offers internal tours (reservations required). You can try samples at the front desk—generous pours and plenty of flavors to taste! 😊 🎨 PLAY Milwaukee Art Museum 📍Address: 700 N Art Museum Dr, Milwaukee, WI 53202 🎟️ Admission: $22 (student discounts available) This place was a filming location for Transformers 3! It’s perfect for cultivating some artistic vibes, taking aesthetic photos, and enjoying the futuristic architecture. 📸✨ 🏍️ Harley-Davidson Museum 📍Address: 400 W Canal St, Milwaukee, WI 53201 🎟️ Ticket: $22 (student discounts available) A paradise for motorcycle enthusiasts! Get ready to see motorcycles in a whole new light. 🏍️😎 🎉 FUN We passed by the Bucks’ home stadium and decided to catch an NBA game!
