Christmas at Tucson Cactus Park
1. Our final destination led us to Tucson, aiming to behold the grand cacti. The Tucson Cactus Park is split into two distinct areas, namely the Eastern Section and the Western Section. In the west of the park, the cacti tend to be younger. Sadly, due to a sharp decline in temperature previously, a substantial number of cacti perished from the cold. Consequently, we couldn't witness them carpeting the hillsides as they once did. Meanwhile, in the eastern section, the cacti are generally more mature and are distributed in a denser fashion. ππ΅π Each area has its own allure, with the west having a somewhat youthful yet less populated appearance and the east presenting a picture of maturity and abundance. πποΈπ 2. You can look at Figure 7 to choose some shorter trails. These trails won't exhaust you as they are fairly easy to traverse. Every day, the Visitor Center arranges tours that can assist you in getting to know the local flora. However, since we visited on a Sunday, there was a large crowd and the Visitor Center was understaffed, so the tours got cancelled. ππΆββοΈπΊοΈ Although it was disappointing to miss out on the guided tours, exploring the trails independently still enabled us to appreciate the beauty of the plants and soak in the atmosphere at our own leisure. ππ³π 3. The most remarkable aspect was undoubtedly the breathtaking sunset we witnessed within the Cactus Park. On the side where the sun was setting, the sky was awash with golden and vivid red hues. On the opposite side, the sky was delicately colored pink by the afterglow of the sunset. The entire sky was a sight to behold. The sunset glow resembled a phoenix rising from the ashes, spreading its wings and taking flight. It was truly magnificent. And the cacti bathed in this glorious glow took on an even more enchanting quality. ππ π It seemed as if the cacti were standing still, savoring this splendid moment, infusing an added touch of mystery and serenity into the already stunning vista. ππ΅β¨ #TucsonCactus #ChristmasSight #ParkWonders
