Christmas in Pensacola

After spending three consecutive Christmases in Miami, I finally decided to change things up this year... While my friends went off to climb Mount Kilimanjaro πŸ”οΈ β€” I mentally joined them, but physically stayed put, cozy and lazy like an orange cat lounging in the sun . Pensacola is perfect for working remotely during the year-end slow season, with zero FOMO since there aren’t too many touristy distractions. On sunny days, I’d head to Navarre Fishing Pier to watch the sunrise or sunset. The wind and waves were strong, and the sea took on mesmerizing colors β€” at dusk, even the white sand turned soft pink . I explored quite a few nearby trails and went running at Fort Pickens twice (though I overestimated my stamina and parked way too far πŸ₯²). I also visited Perdido Key and Orange Beach β€” quiet places shared mostly with local anglers 🎣. Collecting seashells there was such a simple joy. On Christmas Day, I biked around Miramar Beach inside a resort β€” pedaling freely with the coastal breeze felt wonderfully peaceful 🚲🌴. Ate plenty of fresh seafood 🦞🍀, but a word of advice: don’t get your hopes up too high for Asian food in the South β€” or bubble tea for that matter πŸ˜…πŸ§‹. Sometimes the quietest holidays turn out to be the coziest. Here’s to slow days, salty air, and no rush at all. #US #Texas #Pensacola
