Cincinnati Food Exploration | Creative Tacos at Solstice 🌮

Update: Sadly, the owner decided to close just 9 months after opening 🥲. The economic downturn has led several small businesses to shut down this year… Really hope our favorite restaurants can keep going! I’d been curious about this place since seeing it on Instagram, so I dropped by after a haircut nearby. It’s located on the same street as Cafe Mochiko, and parking wasn’t too bad. The menu is simple—we ordered every taco they had! 🌮 Reviewing from left to right, top to bottom: 1️⃣ Island of Slam (shredded pork) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tender, juicy, and flavorful. We even ordered an extra portion! 2️⃣ O And No - Shrimp (can be substituted with mushrooms) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plump, satisfying shrimp with pickled radish—so delicious! 🤤 3️⃣ Tiger of Mysore (lamb) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Succulent lamb with refreshing cucumber and carrot shreds, plus a hint of spice. We added another order of this too! 4️⃣ 13 Werati - Steak (can be substituted with portobello mushroom, very veg-friendly) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Classic combo of onions, cilantro, and beef—how could it not be good? 5️⃣ Scarlet Ibls (chickpea) ⭐ As meat lovers, we weren’t too excited about this vegan option. It was just okay. 6️⃣ Zaragoza (chicken) ⭐⭐⭐ A solid spicy option, but it paled in comparison to the others. We also tried the cheesy nachos as an appetizer and ordered drinks 🍹. The per-person cost was around $20–30. Definitely a place we’d revisit! Address: 1544 Madison Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45206 #Cincinnati #CincinnatiFood #CincinnatiEats #Tacos #MexicanFood #WeekendInCincinnati #CincinnatiFoodTalks 🌮🇲🇽
