🟡 Classical Cyber Integration — Berlin Tegel Airport 🟡
This is the now-closed Berlin Tegel Airport, born in the 1970s era of cyberpunk culture 📀. Its unique design gives it a style that remains extraordinary even today. From an initial planned capacity of 2.5 million passengers to a peak of over 24 million, the architecture consistently delivered. The core design principle was: adopt an integrated concept ✡️. Every element, big or small, followed a consistent hexagonal geometric module. From airport access roads, boarding bridges, and runways to ceilings, floors, and seating—every detail clearly related to the overall vision. Thanks to this concept 🛬, the idea of a “drive-in short-distance airport” became a reality. The hexagonal terminal formed a closed loop, with the inner ring connected to urban transport and the outer ring leading to boarding gates—all while keeping departures and arrivals on the same level 🕳️. This remains an inspiring approach even in contemporary airport design. In the future, Tegel Airport will be renovated and repurposed to serve modern urban needs. 🔄🏙️ #LifeInBerlin #EuropeLife #UrbanOrder
