Cleveland | Honest Reviews of 6 Chinese Meals in 3 Days 🥢
Most Chinese restaurants in Cleveland are concentrated in downtown Asia Town. The surrounding area feels a bit unsafe—not sure why though. 😅 📍 Siam Cafe Vietnamese pork chops—absolutely delicious and affordable! The meat was lean and slightly sweet. This huge plate was only $18! Even though I usually avoid pork, I couldn’t stop eating it. 😋 The ginger-scallion lobster was authentic Cantonese-style. So good that we went back two days in a row! Feels like Michigan doesn’t have Chinese restaurants that do seafood this well. 🦞 📍 LJ Shanghai Ordered Chongqing-style fatty intestine noodles and beef brisket noodles. The beef brisket was super tender and well-made! 🍜 But the sweet and sour pork ribs were a bit too sweet for my taste. 🍖 📍 Wen’s Kitchen Tried the yellow braised chicken rice and braised pork rice. The flavor was okay, but it tasted like pre-made food—probably loaded with MSG. 😵 The lamb skewers were pretty good though! Overall, the prices were very affordable. 💰 📍 Szechuan Gourmet Ordered the "Beijing Combo"—zhajiang noodles and京酱肉丝 (jingjiangrousi). The jingjiangrousi was decent, and they say this place has the most authentic wrappers. But the zhajiang noodles… hard to describe. That pile of sauce on top was something else. 🫤 📍 Li Wah This dim sum place was a letdown. The decor feels straight out of the ’90s, and it seemed a bit dirty. 😬 The only okay dishes were the beef offal and shrimp rice rolls. The stir-fried ho fun was greasy and mushy—super gross. 🤢 #100FoodDiaries #FoodieLife #Cleveland #ClevelandEats #OhioFood #OHIO #Seafood #Lobster
