Cleveland Dam: Another Beautiful Hiking Route in Vancouver ๐๐พ
๐ Cleveland Dam This park is small and super easy to hike โ even stroller-friendly in many parts ๐ฅน. A full loop takes about an hour. We went on a Sunday at 9 AM โ not crowded at all, and plenty of parking available. ๐ถ Pet-friendly! Many trail sections allow off-leash dogs. ๐ ฟ๏ธ Parking: Directly navigate to Cleveland Dam Parking at 5077 Dam Rd, North Vancouver. Free parking! Right after you step out of the car, youโll see open grassy areas where you can even enjoy a drink (liquor allowed ๐ท) while taking in the stunning views of Capilano Lake and Grouse Mountain. โฒ๏ธ Walk across the dam to enter the park. The trails can be a bit confusing, but just keep going downhill whenever you see a fork. ๐ชง Youโll soon reach a sign: ๐ Left leads to the best viewpoint of the dam (just a short walk โ we even saw a beautiful rainbow here! ๐) ๐ Right takes you to the salmon hatchery ๐ฃ We recommend going left first for that epic dam view, then circling back for the salmon. Cross a small bridge and go left โ if youโre lucky, you might even see salmon migrating upstream! You can either continue deeper into the park for more peaceful scenery or head back the same way. #HikingTrails #Vancouver #Canada #Hiking #ClevelandDam #NorthVan #VancouverBC #PetFriendly #Salmon #DamViews #ExploreBC #NatureLovers
