📍 Cleveland Dam Trail Guide: A Scenic & Easy Hike in Vancouver
Tucked away in North Vancouver, Cleveland Dam offers a peaceful and accessible nature escape — perfect for a short walk with stunning views! 🌲🌄 This park is small, with very low difficulty – you can even manage with a stroller 🚼. A full loop takes about 1 hour. I went on a Sunday at 9 AM – not crowded at all, and plenty of parking available 🅿️. 🐶 Pet-friendly! Many off-leash areas – your furry friends can roam freely. 📍Parking: Use “Cleveland Dam Parking” 5077 Dam Rd, North Vancouver Free and convenient! 🍻 You can even enjoy a drink (liquor allowed) on the grassy areas near the lot while admiring views of Capilano Lake and Grouse Mountain. Cheers! 🥂 ➡️ Walk across the dam to enter the park trails. The paths can be confusing, but just keep going downward at any fork. 🪧 You’ll soon see a sign: Left 👈: Best viewpoint of the dam (don’t miss it – I even caught a beautiful rainbow here! 🌈) Right 👉: Salmon hatchery! 🐟 We recommend going left first – it’s just a short walk. Then double back for the salmon viewing. Cross a small bridge and go left – you might even see salmon migrating if you’re lucky! You can head deeper into the park for quieter forest scenes 🌿, or simply return the same way. A perfect half-day getaway filled with lakes, mountains, dams, and wildlife – all within easy reach! #HikingTrails #Vancouver #Canada #Hiking #ClevelandDam #NorthVan #VancouverBC
