Colmar Michelin One-Star Dining at L'Atelier du Peintre
Colmar has a total of 17 Michelin-recommended restaurants; 9 with one Michelin star and 3 with two Michelin stars. It's a very small place but with so many choices! If you visit, you can really spend 2-3 hours enjoying the experience. 🌟 This time, I went on a day trip to Colmar + Strasbourg. Since I had enough time, I decided to visit a Michelin one-star restaurant. 🍴 L'Atelier du Peintre - Closed on Sunday and Monday - Tuesday: 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM - Wednesday to Friday: 12 PM - 2 PM and 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM - Saturday: 7 PM - 9:30 PM I decided to go on a Wednesday at noon because I was alone and wanted to walk in directly. ⚠️ I went before the Christmas market started, which is considered the off-season. The restaurant was almost full by around 12:45. If you plan to go now, you definitely need to make a reservation in advance. You can book through Fork or the Michelin app. 📱 I wasn't very hungry and wasn't sure about the portion sizes, so I chose the €49 Lunch Menu (starter + main course + dessert). To be honest, I didn't feel very full, maybe around 60% full. If you're really hungry, I recommend the €70 set, and guys might even want to try the larger set. 🥩 - Picture 1: Amuse-bouche (complimentary appetizer) - Picture 2: Chestnut Cream with Port, Mountain Tome, Marinated Pear, Hint of Nutmeg (one is the drizzled version) - Picture 3: Roast Lean Back, Broccoli, Almond and Lemon, Herring Caviar and Chicken Sauce - Picture 4: Tatin-style Candied Apple, Creamy Mascarpone, and Salty Butter Caramel Ice Cream 🍨 I thought the flavors were decent, especially the ingredients and presentation. However, three courses weren't enough to truly experience the Michelin magic. If I go again, I would choose the 5-7 course menu. 🍽️ This restaurant wasn't bad, but it also wasn't amazing—just average. If you have more time in Colmar, I recommend trying different restaurants. 🍖 My final bill was €70 (I ordered a glass of wine + sparkling water for €6). 💸 #MichelinOneStar #MichelinRestaurantReview #TravelTips #FineDining #FoodReview #FranceTravel #RestaurantReview
