🍖 Cologne | This Crispy Pork Knuckle Has Me Hooked
🏰 After admiring the Gothic-style church, I was starving and rushed straight to this century-old pork knuckle restaurant. The moment I opened the door, I was amazed by the scale of the interior and the number of people. I thought it was just an ordinary small restaurant, but it turned out to have the scale of a food court. The noisy and bustling crowd gradually excited my mood, and the atmosphere was super with a little beer and chat. 🥩 Crispy Pork Knuckle The freshly served pork knuckle seemed to be sizzling with oil. The crispy skin was wrapped with viscous fat. I was a bit too eager to put it in my mouth and got my tongue burned by the sticky skin. The taste and texture were similar to crispy pork belly. The first bite was quite touching, and the side dish of sauerkraut was really delicious. I thought it was like crispy shredded potatoes, while my friend thought it was shredded radish. In any case, it was very refreshing and greasy. 🍽️ Fried Pork Chop This meal seems to come with a salad to meet the need for both vegetables and meat. The mushroom sauce is similar to a slightly salty version of cream of mushroom soup, just right for dipping with fries and pork chops. The fried pork chop was really amazing when it came out of the pan, like a freshly fried chicken cutlet. I joked that it would be even better with some plum powder, but the taste was a bit worse when it got cold. Try to eat it as soon as possible, but the fries are still crispy even when they are cold, which is exactly my love 💯. 🍹 Apple Cider It's called cider, but it's actually non-alcoholic apple soda. The taste is refreshing and greasy, very suitable for eliminating greasiness after eating a lot of meat. #100RestaurantsExplorationPlan #Europe #GermanCuisine #CrispyPorkKnuckle #RestaurantRecommendation #TreasureRestaurantShare #WhatToEatOnWeekends #CologneCathedral #CologneCuisine #RestaurantCheckIn #GothicStyle #ShareYourFavoriteRecentPhoto
