Colorado Hiking๏ฝ200m Elevation Gain for Stunning Mountain Lake Views
๐ Lake Isabelle via Pawnee Pass Trail ๐ This is my second time hiking this trail! The trailhead is just over an hourโs drive from downtown Denver. The entire route is only 10km with a gentle 200m elevation gain, passing three beautiful lakes. Most of the path is shaded by forests, so even on sunny days, it stays cool and comfortable. Perfect for beginners, kids, and dogs! ๐๐ถ๐ ๐ This trail is usually very crowded, so we started at 5 PM this time. We reached Lake Isabelle by sunset and hiked back partially in the dark. On the return, the trail was completely emptyโwe let our dog off-leash and had the whole path to ourselves! So peaceful and relaxing. ๐๐พ Back at the parking lot, we even enjoyed a beautiful "moonrise"โabs magical! ๐โจ ๐ Lake Isabelle is one of the most popular trails near Denver. There are three main route options for different preferences: 1๏ธโฃ Lake Isabelle and Long Lake, Jean Lunning Loop โ Shortest distance, lowest elevation gain. Parking permit required for Long Lake Trailhead (hard to get). Difficulty: ๐ 2๏ธโฃ Lake Isabelle via Pawnee Pass Trail (our choice!) โ Moderate length and elevation. Parking permit for Brainard Lake Picnic Site (easier to book). Difficulty: ๐๐ 3๏ธโฃ Isabelle Glacier via Pawnee Pass Trail โ Longest distance, highest elevation gain. Same parking as above. Difficulty: ๐๐๐๐ Choose the one that suits you best! ๐ #Colorado #EasyHikingRoutes #ViewsOnlyHikersSee #MountainLakes #FamilyFriendlyHikes #DogFriendlyTrails #SunsetHikes #DenverHikes #NatureEscapes #OutdoorAdventure
