Come Feel the Vibes! 🍻
My high school friends and I booked this place based on a colleague's recommendation – and wow, the interior is so interesting, unique, and absolutely beautiful! The venue is a former Dominican friary, which is where it gets its name. The restaurant/bar was built in 1875, and Henry Poole was responsible for most of the interior design – which was a major reason we came! 🎨📜 The waiter at our dedicated seating was fantastic, though some of the other staff were fairly rude. I’d also say the food was good but not amazing – but the interior decor totally made up for it! 😊✨ A few tips: This spot is super close to Blackfriars Station – just right across the street. The pier isn’t far either, so if you're nearby, take a stroll there after your meal. 🚉🌊 This place gets really busy. If you want to sit inside to eat, definitely book ahead. You might have to ask a few people to sit down. There’s seating outside too, perfect for those just wanting a beer. 🍺🪑 Even with a reservation, we only had a limited time for our meal, so order quickly and eat at a relaxed but steady pace! ⏳🚨 #TravelTips #LondonPubs #BookAhead #UniqueInterior #VictorianDesign #GroupDining
