🚗 Compact Cleveland Half-Day Tour
Calling all architecture lovers! Started from Columbus in the morning and drove two hours to Cleveland. Though it was cloudy at first, a sudden evening rain brought a stunning sunset 🌆. The trip was short but packed with highlights! 📍 Peter B Lewis Building (Case Western Reserve) by Frank Gehry 🏢 11119 Bellflower Rd, Cleveland, OH 44106 Originally planned to visit the Cleveland Museum of Art next door, but it was closed 😢 (Address: 11150 East Blvd). Stumbled upon this Gehry masterpiece instead—so worth it! Couldn’t go inside since it’s an academic building. Loved the bold mix of straight brick walls and curvy aluminum panels 🤩. 📍 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 🎸 1100 E 9th St, Cleveland, OH 44114 Designed by I.M. Pei—gives off mini Louvre vibes 🏛️ (the glass even looked iridescent after the rain!). Taylor Swift was inducted this year! 🎤 Behind the hall, there’s a pier with a cozy bar 🍹. Walk further and you’ll find one of Cleveland’s iconic signs (Fig 6). 📍 The Arcade 🕍 401 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115 A breathtaking 1890s architectural gem, now decorated for Christmas 🎄✨. Street parking is tricky, but paid lots are nearby. Even grander and more luxurious than the one in Providence, RI. (Now houses the Hyatt Regency! 🏨) 📍 GE Chandelier 💡 E 14th St, Cleveland, OH 44115 A massive chandelier hanging over a T-intersection—unexpected but magical! At night, it blends beautifully with street lights and traffic flow 🌃🚗. Blurs the line between indoor and outdoor space in the most artistic way. #USA #Cleveland #Travel #RoadTrip #StudyAbroad #ArchitectureLover
