The Clevelander Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Cleveland

Well a few years ago i loved this place i worked at progressive field and came here frequently. Today i went to the clevelander on 6/17/17. Me and 4 of my coworkers decided to come here to have lunch. Starting off are waitress was rude my drink was disgusting. We ordered food it took a hour for our food to come but before that our waitress dropped bbq sauce on the floor in front of our table and it set on the floor the entire time we were there . When we informed the waitress she dropped the bbq sauce. She very rudely yelled "I Know" and proceeded to leave it on the floor. As all of this is going on another worker set at the bar and drank the whole time only going in the back to grab bbq sauce. When we asked for the manager our waitress came back and informed us that she was the manager. And we were complaining for no reason. One of my coworkers had ordered a burger to go for a boss. when we finally got back to work . our boss proceeded to eat the burger which we requested to be well done . The burger end up being rare as if someone literally browned both sides for 15 secs. and slapped it on the bread . The burger was leaking blood which covered the bottom of the fries. And the manager/waitress had a attitude the entire time we were there . My coworkers did not receive refills on there soft drinks until they asked. which was after we waited on our food for an hour. So my new experience at the clevelander was horrible . I was so shocked and embarrassed because i recommended the bar to my coworkers. Seeing as i had wonderful experiences with them from 2013-2015. As of now in 2017 i will never visit them again in my life. If i could give them 0...

Was in Cleveland this past weekend with friends for college basketball action and frequented this specific location 2 times within 3 days:

Thursday afternoon arrived around 12pm and sat at the corner of the bar closest to the entrance...2 lovely bartenders controlled the bar and dining room area...order wings and Big Mac wrap...it was good...took down bunch of beers and Surfsides as well...college bball games on TV, so we had everything we needed...everything was great

Returned on Saturday at around 12pm...and this place was packed...found the last table, but upon asking the bartender( Katelynn i believe was her name ), asked if we would be able to move once space for 4 became available, as we wanted to sit at the bar...not 5 mins went by, she came to our table and moved us to a perfect spot at the bar...we ordered bunch of food( wings, wraps ) and drank a shit load of booze...it came to the point where you just needed to make that "eye contact" with Katelynn and she knew without words that drink was needed...she and her coworker controlled the entire place like 2 bosses...we were the loud St Johns fans( hope not too loud )...we stayed there for a good 5+ hours and actually left same time as Katelynn and her coworker were closing their shift as well...as im walking out, i waved by and she asked " coming back tomorrow? "...i wish we did but it was time to return home on Sunday

Will HIGHLY recommend this place to friends should they go to...

We were thoroughly disappointed. Not only were we waiting 10 minutes for a bar tender to show up, she handed our id's to a drunk patron who did not work there and she did no ask our permission. Who the hell was that dude? I doubt it was her boyfriend like she said, as I saw her making out with a different dude, and blatantly not kiss the dude who was supposedly her "boyfriend." We are disturbed that we were not asked permission whether a bar patron could look at our ideas, yet alone given a justification as if it was alright. The food was terrible, and the beer served in a cheap, clear, plastic cup. We were charged for a 24oz beer, although It did not seem to be 24 oz (probably 16 at most). She was taking shots with patrons and yelling louder than the music or anyone else there.

This is one of the most unprofessional bars I have been to. The service is disappointing at best, and makes me want to move as I do not trust what happened. I am appalled and disgusted by this place. It seems like the type of bar that a underage kid with a fake id would go to. They clearly make no attempt to foster any legitimate type of patron.

All I can say, is DON'T GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only attended as they were conveniently located to our hotel and opened late. I would NEVER GO BACK OR RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE. I only wish I could take back my experience there. This place should be shut...
