Cordoba Solo Trip Detailed Guide

🏠 Accommodation: Líbere Córdoba Patio Santa Marta 👍 Pros: 1. The courtyard is very beautiful, and the room is clean. There's a large storage cabinet, but you need to bring your own lock. 2. Free luggage storage, and if the room is ready, you can check in early. 3. Online check-in and check-out are available, saving a lot of time. 4. The surrounding area is very quiet, and it's just an 18-minute walk from the train station. 👎 Cons: 1. No bed curtains. 2. The sink, shower, and toilet are inside the room, so you can hear noises when someone is using them. 3. The corner bed feels a bit cramped, like living inside a cabinet. 4. It's a bit far from major attractions like the Great Mosque. If you return late at night, you'll need to walk through dark alleys. 🕰️ Schedule and Routes - 11:16 AM: Arrived in Cordoba by Renfe02494. Walked to the hostel to store my luggage. - 12:00 PM: Visited the Palacio de Viana. Tips: 1. Early May is the local Courtyard Festival, and the Palacio de Viana is open for free. It's larger than other local courtyards, so you can take your time to enjoy it. 2. Pick up a festival map at the exit and explore the area. - 1:45 PM: Lunch at the Great Mosque of Cordoba. Tips: 1. You can buy tickets on-site. 2. The bell tower requires a separate ticket. This tower offers better views with fewer obstructions compared to the one in Seville. 3. At the mosque's exit, you can get a flyer for the Ruta de las Iglesias Fernandinas. With your mosque ticket, you can visit all the churches. 4. The mosque's restrooms are small and often have lines. After visiting the mosque, you can explore the nearby Flower Alley (not as beautiful as the courtyards), churches, or other courtyards while waiting for your bell tower ticket. Church recommendations: - The main altar of San Francisco. - The exterior and windows of San Pablo. - The exterior and windows of San Lorenzo. There's a LEGO-themed courtyard between San Pablo and San Andrés churches. It's worth a visit, but other courtyards are also beautiful and worth a quick stop. - 8:30 PM: Skipped the Christian Monarchs' Castle to attend a free concert in the mosque's courtyard. Check the flyer (P11) for details if you're interested. - 9:30 PM: Strolled across the Roman Bridge. Tips: - Enjoy the blue hour ambiance. There are often musicians playing. Walking back through the dark alleys at night can be a bit eerie. Consider taking a taxi. There are usually available taxis near the Roman Bridge. 🍽️ Dining: Taberna Salinas Ordered honeydew melon with serrano ham and braised oxtail. The total was 28 euros, and both dishes were delicious. #Cordoba
