Corimaโ€™s Tasting Menu Is Worth the Hype! ๐ŸŒŸ

My first tasting menu experience did not disappoint! Corima is a bit tucked away โ€” technically in Chinatown but a bit of a walk from the subway. This modern Mexican spot earned its Michelin star last year ๐ŸŽ‰. The menu changes seasonally, and we tried the 7-course journey. Highlights: Starters: Three small bites, each totally unique and full of surprise. Loved the shrimp tartare โ€” strangely familiar yet exciting! White Asparagus & Squid Buรฑuelo: Refreshing and complex. The textures and flavors โ€” almond, garlic, and umami โ€” blended beautifully. Cascabel Chili Sea Bass Collar: My favorite! ๐ŸŸ Juicy, gelatinous, perfectly grilled with Oaxacan chili sauce. The scallions cut through the richness effortlessly. Tostada with Kohlrabi & Pumpkin Seed Butter: Ocean-rich flavors without any fishiness. So creative and delicious! Beet & Shrimp Brain Terrine: Visually reminded us of Hong Kong-style rice rolls ๐Ÿ˜‚. Balanced acidity and intense shrimp flavor โ€” impressive! Hay-Smoked Beef Heart with New Potatoes: Creamy sauce with incredible depth. The onion rings added a spicy, fresh kick. Corima masters balance and surprise in every dish. Definitely returning for their next seasonal menu! ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ซ #NYCFood #MichelinNYC #TastingMenu #MexicanFood #Corima #FoodieDiary
