Cozy French Restaurant in the Warehouse District 🍽️🍷
Tucked away in the Warehouse District, this charming French restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere—perfect for conference attendees like me looking for a convenient yet delightful dining spot. The space includes an intimate dining room and bar, a lovely outdoor courtyard, and I believe there’s even a private dining area upstairs overlooking the courtyard. The entrance, through a lovely walkway within the restaurant, sets a welcoming tone. The restaurant is named after Vyoone, its (female) owner and founder—a lovely personal touch! 💐 The menu features French classics with subtle Creole and African influences, offering a unique culinary twist. The long-serving waiter, Spence, was exceptionally helpful—guiding us thoughtfully through the menu and offering great recommendations. 🗒️👏 We started with the crab cake and French onion soup—both classic in presentation and expertly prepared. For the main course, I had the duck à l’orange—a tender confit duck leg served with savory mushroom bread pudding, asparagus, and a tangy orange-ginger sauce. It was rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. For dessert, the upside-down peach cake was a sweet and delightful finish. 🦀🍲🍑 The restaurant offers an extensive cocktail and wine list, though I opted for a refreshing mocktail. The courtyard, in particular, made for a serene and pleasant dining setting. 🌿🍹 While Spence provided exceptional service, the food runners were less engaging—they delivered dishes without a word, which slightly contrasted with the warmth of the front-of-house staff. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable meal just steps away from my hotel. I’d gladly return! 😊 #VyooneRestaurant #FrenchCuisine #WarehouseDistrictNOLA #CozyVibes #ConferenceEats #DuckALOrange #CourtyardDining #SouthernHospitality
