In the gentle summer breeze, treating yourself to a glass of 🍶 with some karaage feels like pure bliss. Recently visited this izakaya near Penn's Landing — heard their omakase is super popular and requires advance booking. Since we didn't plan ahead, we sampled some other dishes instead. Uni Ikura Don – A must-order for uni lovers! Salmon roe bursts in your mouth paired with sweet sushi rice — totally addictive.😂👌 Chilled Corn Potage – Refreshing lobster soup, a cool touch for summer. Cleanses the palate even after richer dishes. Wakame Salad – Simple and refreshing — seaweed and bean sprouts make a light, crisp combo.😊👌 Sashimi Deluxe – Excellent sashimi platter! Tuna, king salmon, jack fish… even less familiar varieties were fresh. Karaage Wings – A house classic, generous portion. Juicy and not greasy, though one piece was too thick and a bit undercooked inside — smaller cuts would be better.❤️😘 Overall, the izakaya has a dim, bar-like atmosphere (the omakase side looks brighter, though we didn't sit there).
