Cozy Izakaya Vibe in Philly โ Royal Sushi & Izakaya ๐ฎ
In the gentle summer breeze, treating yourself to a glass of ๐ถ with some karaage feels like pure bliss. Recently visited this izakaya near Penn's Landing โ heard their omakase is super popular and requires advance booking. Since we didn't plan ahead, we sampled some other dishes instead. Uni Ikura Don โ A must-order for uni lovers! Salmon roe bursts in your mouth paired with sweet sushi rice โ totally addictive.๐๐ Chilled Corn Potage โ Refreshing lobster soup, a cool touch for summer. Cleanses the palate even after richer dishes. Wakame Salad โ Simple and refreshing โ seaweed and bean sprouts make a light, crisp combo.๐๐ Sashimi Deluxe โ Excellent sashimi platter! Tuna, king salmon, jack fishโฆ even less familiar varieties were fresh. Karaage Wings โ A house classic, generous portion. Juicy and not greasy, though one piece was too thick and a bit undercooked inside โ smaller cuts would be better.โค๏ธ๐ Overall, the izakaya has a dim, bar-like atmosphere (the omakase side looks brighter, though we didn't sit there). The small plates we tried were satisfying enough. Great spot for a laid-back summer meal! #PhillyEats #Philly #ExplorePhilly #JapaneseFood #Izakaya #RestaurantRecs ๐ฅข
