Dallas | McKinney | Rick's Chop House
🩷A retro-style steakhouse nestled inside a beautifully preserved historic hotel in downtown McKinney, offering an ambiance that blends old-world charm with timeless elegance. ✔️The crab is the most highly recommended appetizer – no competition! Served warm with a golden, bubbly cheese top and generous chunks of crab, it’s rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. ✔️The oysters were fresh and briny, but the pork belly was a letdown for me. It was served with a sweet cornmeal cake and tangy blueberry sauce, which, in my opinion, didn’t pair well with the savory richness of the meat. ✔️The lobster had a noticeable tomato note, making it the least heavy version I've ever tasted. It was smooth, aromatic, and packed with delicate lobster flavor. ✔️As for the ribeye – it was my first time truly enjoying a medium steak. Perfectly seared on the outside, juicy and tender inside, with just the right amount of marbling. Seasoned simply but masterfully – everything about it was just perfect! ✨Pro Tip: Make a reservation in advance, especially for weekend dinners. The dim lighting, leather booths, and live piano music create an unforgettable dining experience. #McKinney#foodguide#Rick'sChopHouse
