Dallas Layover Half-Day Trip
Dallas Layover Half-Day Trip – Solo Cowboy Town Visit (Female Traveler) 👧✈️🤠 Flying back to Tokyo with a layover in Dallas, I deliberately left 8–9 hours, just in case I missed the connecting flight—and also to explore a bit. I debated between downtown and the cowboy town, and since I'd been in Washington D.C. the previous few days, I went for something unique: longhorn cattle drive + Texas BBQ (mainly drawn by the BBQ 🐂🍖). First, go to Terminal B, enter from Gate B43, take the elevator down to the basement level, then follow signs for Rail to Fort Worth to the ticket machine. A one-way ticket is $2, or you can buy a one-day pass for $4. Cash works if you have it; otherwise, scan the GoPass QR code in the picture to buy via phone (if you're short on time, you can board first and buy later—just ask staff if unsure 🚇💳👩💼). Ride to Northside Station, where you'll see the Orange Line station right after exiting. Transfer to the Orange Line, drop $4 into the fare box for a one-day pass card, and ride 3 stops to Main & 26th. From there, walk to Fort Worth Livestock Exchange to catch the longhorn cattle drive (twice daily at 11:30 AM and 4:00 PM, lasting about 5–10 minutes ⏰🐮🎉). After the show, it’s time to eat! It was quite hot that day, so right after the drive, I walked just 3 minutes to a BBQ spot called Riscky‘s BAR-B-Q. I went for the beef ribs all-you-can-eat—check out P2, all that for just $21! Personally thought it was delicious, highly recommended. Later I found out drinks are also free refills, so pretty good value 🍖🥤💰. Exploring: The little town has a cheerful vibe—perfect for just wandering around 🏘️🚶♀️✨. #DallasLayover#CowboyTown#SoloFemaleTravel#TexasBBQ#TravelTips
