Itβs been years since we last visited New Orleans, and this time, two separate friends recommended we try this spot β and weβre so glad we did! We arrived a bit early and decided to start our evening at the bar. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned π₯, and he was seriously impressed! He said it was even better than the ones back in Wisconsin β thanks to the clever use of bourbon instead of brandy, giving it a richer, smoother finish. For dinner, he went with the Cochon (a special pork dish) ππ, while I chose the Grilled Catfish β and both were absolutely divine! The catfish was flaky, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. We also shared the Grilled Oysters π¦ͺ β they were tasty, though he wasnβt as big a fan as I was (more for me! π). But the real showstopper? The Peanut Butter Icebox Cake π°π₯! It was, without a doubt, one of the best desserts Iβve had in recent memory β creamy, nutty, and not too sweet.
