Day 1 in Giza, Egypt|Arrival & First Impressions!

1️⃣ Arrival at Giza Airport – 9 AM Got my visa on arrival — $25 USD 💵. Pro tip: Bring a pen to fill out the form! 🖊️ Walk fast to avoid queues — beat your flight mates! 🏃‍♀️✨ 2️⃣ SIM Card Chose Orange — cheapest but tricky 📱💢 Purchased 24GB for , but it didn’t last 14 days. Had to top up later. Better to buy extra data at their store! 3️⃣ Taxi from Airport Apps like Uber/Indrive charge extra — initially quoted $30 💰 We bargained to 700 EGP (fair for the 1-hour drive + tolls) 🚖 4️⃣ Accommodation: Layla Hostel 🏊‍♀️ Has a pool, near Tahrir Square & Egyptian Museum 🏛️ Crowded but fun — bunk beds are spacious! Shared bathrooms are just okay 🚿 5️⃣ Tahrir Square Area A bit smelly — too many horses & donkeys 🐎🤢 6️⃣ Egyptian Museum VisitNo AC inside — so hot! 🥵 Used my Chinese student ID for 50% off 🎫 A guided tour is a MUST — or you’ll miss the stories! 🗣️👁️ Ancient Egypt = mind-blowing 🤯 💰 A travel buddy exchanged EGP for me — felt like a millionaire! 💵😆 🍽️ Strong Recommendation: InterContinental Hotel near the Museum Ate dinner there —/person 🎶🌅 Great ambiance, live music, epic Nile sunset views 🌇 Finally had a good meal! 🍛 ❤️ Loving every day in Egypt — met travel buddies along the way 👭 Everything is cheap, and I encountered hardly any scammers! Traveling with two amazing sisters in their 30s — so inspired by their lives and energy! ✨ They look younger, travel smarter, and I’m just happily following along 😄 #AsiaEuropeAfricaRoute #Egypt #EgyptianMuseum #TravelDiary #Giza #SoloTravel #BudgetTravel 🌍🐪✈️
