Day 1 of My American Road Trip: First Encounter with the North(1) 🌟

Initial Glimpse of the North! After flying thousands of miles, we landed in Minneapolis, where our journey across America officially began. 🍃🌸 On May 10th, 2024, before summer had fully embraced the East Coast, a group of us travel enthusiasts seized the opportunity of a holiday to head towards the "Northern Twin Stars" of the American Midwest—Minneapolis & St. Paul. ❤️ This marked the start of our second road trip adventure! We took off early in the morning from Baltimore and landed smoothly three hours later in Minnesota, where the crisp air and bright sunshine greeted us. 🍃🌸 The moment we stepped off the plane, it felt like we had instantly returned to Canada. First Stop: Tranquil Moments in St. Paul ❤️ 🍃🌸 After picking up our rental car at the airport, we drove for less than half an hour and arrived in the state capital, St. Paul. Compared to the modern vibe of Minneapolis, St. Paul feels more like an old gentleman with a rich historical background. We visited the famous Cathedral of Saint Paul, which sits gracefully on a hill. From here, you can overlook the city's landscape. ❤️ The interior of the church is very quiet, with sunlight streaming through the stained glass and casting colorful patterns on the floor. Walking on the ancient stone slabs bathed in sunlight, you can feel the passage of time and a sense of peace. 🍃🌸 Everything seems so natural and harmonious. After soaking in the strong religious atmosphere, we headed to the nearby Minnesota State Capitol. This white-domed building, similar to many other state capitols, looks particularly solemn against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds. ❤️ The interior's dome and corridor decorations give you the feeling of stepping into a European palace. #USA 🌇🌟
